Player Nutrition (PR 26+)

A diverse diet might keep you alive.

This pack uses the Diet mod to add a nutrition system to the game. This system is not mandatory to your survival, so don't worry about dying due to a lack of proteins. The system is here to provide bonuses for specific conditions.

If you're familiar with this mod, note that we're not using the default configuration provided with it. The things will be a little different than you might be used to.

Let's see how the nutrition system works. When you open your inventory, you'll see this button:

Click on it and you'll see this interface:

It looks self-explanatory, right? The food available in the pack, will have different nutritional values. These values are showed on their tooltips for convenience. Eat food and the nutritional groups will be increased accordingly. If you die, all the progress you've made, will be lost.

You can see all the food items available in a group, by .

Having all the values at 100% will be a bad idea, as some of them will provide negative effects. Let's see what you'll get for each group:

Alone

Fruits:

  • From 90%-100%: +4HP

Grains:

  • From 90%-100%: +4HP

Proteins:

  • From 90%-100%: +4HP

Vegetables:

  • From 90%-100%: +4HP

Dairy:

  • From 10%-90%: +4HP

  • From 90%-100%: Weakness 4 & Mining Fatigue 1 ♣

Sugars:

  • From 40%-80%: +10% Movement Speed

  • From 80%-100%: Hunger 5 ♣

Combinations

Fruits & Vegetables:

  • From 80%-100%: Haste 1

Fruits & Sugars:

  • From 40%-80%: + 20% Movement Speed

Proteins & Grains:

  • From 80%-100%: Knockback Resistance 1 & Armor Toughness 6

Proteins & Dairy:

  • From 50%-90%: Strength 4

Optimal values:

  • Fruits: 100%

  • Grains: 100%

  • Proteins: 100%

  • Vegetables: 100%

  • Dairy: 60-70%

  • Sugars: 30-70%

These values will provide:

  • +10% Movement Speed

  • +2 Knockback Resistance

  • +6 Armor Toughness

  • +10 Max Health

  • Haste 1
