Chunk Claiming/Loading

In this mod pack, you won't have the luxury of loading unlimited chunks. In each Age you'll be limited to a certain amount of chunks you can Force Load. Let's see how many chunks/age you get:

• 1st Age - 1 chunk

• 2nd Age - 5 chunks

• 3rd Age - 15 chunks

• 4th Age - 100 chunks

To avoid confusion. For example, in the 1st Age, you can move your loaded Chunk, you're not limited to exactly one specific Chunk. Same with the other Ages.

How do you change this?

This whole system was made using a combination of FTBQuests, FTBChunks, FTBRanks, Kubejs and numerous commands. If you wanna change the amount of Chunks available for Force Loading/Age, here's what you need to do. The change must be made with the game closed, per World.

Go to The Decursio Project - Expert\saves\your_world\serverconfig\ftbranks\ranks.snbt and change the ftbchunks.max_force_loaded fields to your desired amount of chunks.

If you want to change these before generating any world, go to The Decursio Project - Expert\defaultconfigs\ftbranks\ranks.snbt, where you'll find the same info as shown in the example above. Be careful, as the changes made to this file, will be applied to all the newly generated worlds.

In-Game Commands

• /ftbranks add (will give you the amount of Force Loaded Chunks associated to the Age you've selected)

• /ftbrank remove <your_name> <the_rank_you_want> (will remove the amount of Force Loaded Chunks associated with the Age you've selected)

• /ftbranks list_all_ranks (will show you all the ranks in the game)

How do you Claim/Load Chunks ?

Open Journey Map by pressing the M key. On the right side of the screen, click on the FTBChunks Claiming Mode. This will allow you to claim the Chunks in your surrounding area by clicking them. Shift clicking, will Force Load the Chunks.

There's a known issue regarding Chunk Loading. After reaching a new Age, you might notice you have the same amount of Chunks available for Force Loading, as before. It's just a visual bug. Force load a new Chunk and everything will update.
